At 13:12 hours this afternoon, B-Shift was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Paul Lane. Engines 231 and 232 responded to the call and were on scene in less than 8 minutes. Upon arrival, crews found a fire in the cab, engine compartment and belly pan of an excavator. A single handline was deployed and quickly extinguished the fire. The excavator sustained significant damage from the fire. Once the fire was extinguished, both engines cleared the scene.
