June will be a busy month with a couple of great opportunities for you to come visit the fire stations in Hillsborough.

The first option is to attend the Station #4 dedication and grand opening on June 4th from 1pm to 3pm. Station #4 is inside the Waterstone development and located at 352 College Park Road in Hillsborough. This will be a joint event with Orange County EMS as the station serves both fire and EMS. For anyone that doesn't know, all of the fire departments in Orange County are non-profit corporations with the exception of Carrboro and Chapel Hill which are municipal fire departments.

The second option will be the fire department Annual Open House on June 10th from 9am to 4pm. The Annual Open House occurs each year at our Station #1 to mark the birth date of Orange Rural Fire Department. Station #1 is located at 206 S. Churton Street in Hillsborough.

The opening of Station #4 will include opportunities to see the new station, interact with the crew assigned there and enjoy lite refreshments.

The Annual Open House will include equipment displays, games for children, T-shirts for sale, live demonstrations by the firefighters and visits from Sparky the fire dog.

The Cilantro food truck will join us at 11am offering delicious Mexican street food.
