At 16:48 hours this afternoon, Engine 231 responded to a single vehicle collision in the 2300 block of NC 86 North. Upon arriving at the scene the crew found a single vehicle crash with multiple people trapped in the vehicle.
EMS treated and transported the only surviving victim from the crash.
Fire crews stood by while North Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers investigated and documented the crash scene.
Once a representative from the Medical Examiner's office arrived, firefighters used the Jaws of Life to remove the remaining victims.

We ask that everyone hug your loved ones and say a little prayer tonight for the family members left behind from this tragic incident.
As always, your firefighters can use extra prayers if you have any to give.

Units: 231, 261, 205, 203, 202, 201
