For the third year, we are partnering with Hillsborough Police Department to collect toys for distribution to needy children. This year our efforts will be a little more wide spread than just here at home. This year we plan to divide our efforts and send toys to children in western North Carolina and children in our own town. Donations will be collected at the Hillsborough Fire Station located at 206 S. Churton Street and the Hillsborough Police Department at 127 N. Churton Street. Donations of clean, unused toys can be dropped off during normal business hours at the Police Station and anytime from 7am to 9pm at the Fire Station. On December 19th, Hillsborough Police will hold a toy give away at the Fairview Community Park on Lawndale Avenue. Following the give away, toys will be loaded up and hauled to western North Carolina by Santa himself for distribution to children impacted by Hurricane Helene. Some really cool community members, Police Officers and Firefighters will be on hand to distribute toys on December 19th and it's okay to like the firefighters more... we won't tell.
