At 23:10, Station 4 - C Shift responded to a working tractor-trailer fire on I-40 West at mile marker 260 involving a FedEx Ground trailer.
Units arrived to find heavy smoke and fire conditions on the trailer. Station 1 also responded and crews worked quickly to establish a water supply and knock down the fire, with mutual aid support from New Hope Fire Department. Multiple hose lines were deployed to bring the blaze under control.
The combined effort of both departments ensured the fire was contained and the scene was stabilized safely. We are proud to work alongside our neighbors at New Hope FD — that’s what mutual aid is all about.
The fire was out and all units cleared the scene at 02:32.
